The First District Appellate court of California recently decided where a wife failed to read a premarital agreement and to meet with her attorney to discuss it before signing it, she bore the risk of her mistake as to the content of the agreement and is not entitled to rescission. You are already knew it was important to read the prenup and the Court did not accept the “I didn’t read it” excuse.
